EMP-47
Mary Dowd Sheehan was awarded the distinguished alumni award by the Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing Alumni Board and honored at the first annual alumni awards brunch in February. The award is the most prestigious acknowledgement of Loyola nursing alumni accomplishments and is presented to a graduate who has achieved prominence in nursing on a regional, national or international level. Mary is the president and CEO of Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter.
Several of our EMP-47 classmates caught up at the Kellogg Centennial event Feb. 20 where Jim Skinner, vice chairman and CEO of McDonald's, and Dean Dipak Jain spoke on what it takes to succeed in an increasingly globalized economy. Delta 7 sponsored a table at the lunch and was well represented by Marlin Underwood, Larry Rutkowski, Don Keinstra and John Heiser. Barry Metzger represented the Kellogg Alumni Club of Chicago and Kim Reome joined the Kellogg Executive Women's Network table. Bob Libby attended in more "official" capacity with his colleagues from McDonald's, where he is a director in the IT strategy group. It was great to have a chance to get updates from everyone and hear news of some of our other EMP-47 classmates. The big question seemed to be, when will the annual Berghoff lunch be rescheduled? |
