Hey EMP-33'ers. Here's the news:

David Donatelli is president of the EMC Storage Division. Last year was a record year, with revenue for the division exceeding $12 billion. Dave and his wife Michelle have three children, Abigail (8), Christopher (7) and Timmy (3). Dave and Michelle frequently go out on the town in Boston with fellow EMP-33'ers Sean Kerins and Dr. Johnny Oldershaw.

John Chiminski wrote to say that his family moved out east in the fall of '07. John is running a specialty pharma business for GE Healthcare. John says his family is doing great, but missing the space and land in Wisconsin. John will make a deal for anyone interested in buying his farm in Wisconsin.

Bill Wick reports that his son Will is coming home from Iraq. Bill's second son Johnny was awarded his Eagle Scout rank and is awaiting college application results. Daughter Katharine stays busy with her equestrian vaulting activities. Bill is working with partners on a fund targeted towards sustainability at Vision Capital. He is also chief financial officer and a founder of Vivaldi Biosciences, which recently topped up the Series A, opened a lab in New York and added two strategic Investors. Bill also noted that he's joined the dark side and traded in his Blackberry for an iPhone. Bill's personal e-mail is bill@wick.us.com.

Sam Liang reports that he has left the safe harbor of Cordis/J&J after 24 years to follow the paths of Steve Basta and Chuck Brynelsen into the start-up world as president/CEO of Vascular Therapies LLC. The product is a combination drug-device that is used in surgeries worldwide. On the home front, Sam says all is great with Kelly and the three girls, and they're loving life in Chester, N.J. Everyone should please stop in if in the central New Jersey area.

Yours truly, Barry McCarthy, is still at First Data after four and a half years. He's been in his new role as president of Mobile Commerce for about a year. His role recently expanded to include global responsibility for point-of-sale solutions (hardware, software, distribution, servicing and leasing). Jean Ann and the kids are great. He's also busy making pinewood derby cars with his Webelo and Cub Scout sons and supporting the Brownies with his youngest daughter.
