Katrina Borisjuk Cohen writes: "Josh Cohen and I were married Nov. 8 in Old Saybrook, Conn. We were thrilled that many of our Kellogg friends and family were able to make the trip to celebrate with us, including: Laura Adams, Michelle Devereaux, Rachel (Brecher) Daricek and Clay Daricek, Tara and Brandon Drew, Inessa Even, Lisa (Williamson) Graham '05, Ryan Graham '05, Shilpa (Borkar) Hosler and Dan Hosler, Leslie Kalisewicz, Rich McPhillips, Debbie (Rebell) Moss '01 and Jason Moss '01 (who celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary on our wedding day), Amy (Sur) O'Dell '05 and Brad O'Dell, Alex (Dukes) Rikkers and Ben Rikkers, Stormy Scott and Becca Zoller. We enjoyed an active two-week honeymoon in New Zealand, and are living in Jersey City, N.J."
Suveer Kothari writes: "Seetal and I were married in Agra, India, on Dec. 28. We had an amazing time celebrating with friends and family, with so many making the trip from far and wide, braving the joys of Indian transport and Delhi fog. Despite the jet lag, Mike Fang, Mahendra Nerurkar, Pradeep Gode, Arvind Siotia, Ramin Mahajan, Mario Rivera and Tanvi Gokhale '04 all saved their best Bollywood moves for the dance floor. Thanks to all who came and shared our special occasion with us."
Yale Dieckmann writes: "I wanted to share the good news that Andrea Box and I were married on New Year's Eve. We had an evening ceremony in downtown Denver, followed by a rockin' all-night party. There were countless Kellogg alums in attendance, including the bulk of our KAOS Panama crew, where Andrea and I first met. We all had a blast, and only wish the evening could have lasted longer. Andrea and I are happily living together in Chicago."
Maria Charnitski Stansberry writes: "Warren and I are thrilled to report the birth of our first child. Sadie Jane Stansberry was born on Nov. 30 at 4:01 a.m., measuring 20 inches and weighing 7 pounds, 8 ounces. She's the first grandchild on both sides and a first-generation Texan. Give us a call the next time you're in Austin."
Ricardo Balau writes: "My wife Fabiana and I welcomed our first child, Pedro Balau, to the world on Jan. 22. He weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and is doing great. I took a well-deserved vacation, so we are enjoying Pedro full-time now and getting barely any sleep."
Scott Blanding writes: "I am very happy to announce that Ruby Victoria Blanding was born on Oct. 30 in Denver, Colo. She was 7 pounds, 3 ounces and 19.5 inches long. The delivery went extremely well. Leesa and I are having a wonderful time with all the joy that parenthood brings."
Jessica Bailey Milesko writes: "At 4:09 a.m. on Jan. 30 on a beautiful summer morning in Sydney, Australia, Summer Nicole Milesko (with a full head of light brown hair and dark blue eyes) caught her very first glimpse of the world. She weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 19.5 inches. Mum is doing fantastic and dad (Jason Milesko '05) could not be more proud."
The 1Y Class of 2006 will be having a West Coast Reunion on June 13-14 in San Francisco. 1Y's and non-1Y's are invited to come. E-mail Melanie Chan Jimmerson at MelanieJimmerson@gmail.com for more details.
Elizabeth Kearney updates: "The National Society of Genetic Counselors elected me to the board of directors for a three-year term. The first year's service will be as president-elect, a time to get familiar with NSGC initiatives and brush up on leadership skills, followed by the big year as president in 2010. The role includes leading the board, contributing to strategic direction and serving as the public representative for the organization. It's a wonderful opportunity and responsibility to further the impact of genetic counseling, my first professional love and passion."
Mark Morrison writes: "I have joined Hilton Hotels in a corporate strategy role. I am very excited to be in this newly formed role, combining my business strategy experience with Bain and my pre-MBA hotel industry experience. I have moved to Los Angeles as a result of the new job and look forward to meeting with Kellogg folks who might be in the area."
"Two years ago, Bo Parfet and Bill Bennett started Iconic Development, a demographically driven real estate company specializing in environmentally friendly development and redevelopment of student housing, senior housing and distressed assets. Last year was their best year yet and after closing another transaction at the beginning of the year, it looks like 2009 is off to a good start. Incidentally, Bo's book, Die Trying, was (officially) published in February. It encompasses some great Kellogg stories and high-flying adventures." |
