In recent baby news, Carrie Palmer gave birth to her second son on Dec. 5 at 8 pounds, 7 ounces. His name is Grady James Palmer and his big brother is Max (3). Carrie and her family are living in Boston, where they have lived for more than two years now.

Michelle (Beels) Lorge gave birth to her second son, Ryan, on Oct.18. Big brother Tyler is still trying to figure out who this new addition to the family is. Michelle returned to Kraft in the new products group in late February after her maternity leave ended.

Kevin Stineman's wife Margie (Block) Stineman '03 gave birth to son Stofer Richard in December. Everyone is healthy and doing well and daughter Meg is adjusting to life as the new big sister quite well.

Andy McDill's wife Jennifer (Pack) McDill '01 gave birth to their second son, Drake Johnston, on Sept. 27. Drake checked in at just under 9 pounds.

Jay Koval writes: "Jay, Jill, Laney, Riley and Caroline Koval spent Christmas in Vail, Colo. Caroline is the latest addition to the family, arriving on Aug. 21. Laney and Riley are adjusting well to their new baby sister and looking forward to getting some time on the slopes this year."

Kate Solomon and Dan Slivjanovski welcomed the newest addition to their growing family: Seka Lulu, on Dec. 16.

Brooke (Brandes) Warren writes: "I am thrilled to report that Phil and I had our daughter Reagan Brooke Warren on Dec. 1. She was a healthy 8 pounds and is growing like a weed and changing every day. We are still in New York City. I am taking time off to be with her right now and enjoying every minute."

Amy Walters fills us in on her latest news: "All's well in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I have been living here with my husband Chuck since June 2007. He's the executive director of a public health NGO, and I have been consulting with the World Bank on education and early childhood projects in the Dominican Republic and the region. When we're not working, we have enjoyed exploring the country and its beautiful beaches. We have also had the pleasure of spending time with Pilar Granados and Jorge Aguayo '01 and their lovely girls. Our biggest news is that we are the proud parents of Maya Jane Szymanski, born Nov. 5, just hours after President Obama was elected. Maya is an observant, wiggly, smiley bundle and we are having a fabulous time with her!"

Dai Ishida has recently experienced a few big changes in his life. In March 2008, he was married to Mariko. He also moved to London to serve as director for Mitsui's private equity team.

Mark Colella provides an update on what has gone on in his life the last several years. He is living in Los Altos, Calif., with his wife Bre and son Milo (1). Both are native Californians and enjoy being close to their families. After Kellogg, Mark spent several years in the medical device industry operating in both large and small companies (Stryker Corporation and BARRX Medical Inc. respectively). He joined venture capital firm 5AM Ventures to help with their medical device practice.

Mark Shedletsky has been pretty busy the past couple of years. He got married, left MTV in Canada, moved to San Francisco, worked at BitTorrent with David Fleck '03 and Brian Taptich '03, and then left to start his own business, BlueHaze.

Jed Wallace was selected as the CEO of the California Charter Schools Association, a membership organization serving the 750 charter schools in California. As part of accepting this position, he and his family moved to Sacramento from San Diego.

Ana Villegas was married Oct. 25 to Stephen Laphen in Mancora, Peru. Stephen and Ana live in Austin, Texas, but wanted a beach wedding and Peru was the perfect place since Ana is from Peru.

Jody Blencowe tells us: "I'm still in the Washington, D.C., area and am finally getting around to providing a long-overdue update to everyone. I am happy to report that Anna Dwyer and I were married June 7 in a small ceremony on the beach in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The wedding was wonderful, and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful day to celebrate, despite the fact that it was one of the hottest days of the year. After the wedding, we traveled to Thailand and spent three weeks relaxing on the beaches and islands of the Andaman Sea, trekking with elephants, and exploring Bangkok. On the work front, I'm still with Marriott International, where I've been since early 2003. At the beginning of 2008, I took a new role in brand management, where I focus on Courtyard and SpringHill Suites brands. "

Mike Andrews writes: "My partner Ryan '94 and I had a wedding ceremony in Chicago in September. We officially got married in Canada last year, but wanted to do something here in Chicago with family, friends and our faiths. So, we had a ceremony officiated by a Jewish rabbi and an Episcopal reverend at St. James Cathedral. We were fortunate to have close Kellogg friends attending: Keith Kaplan, Susie Silver, Doug and Sue Warshauer, Paul Brown, Art Kessler '94, Andrew Strasser '95, Dan O'Leary, Todd Hjermstad, Kirby Shimko, Evan Houtrides and Peter Willimert and Michelle Levy '03. It was wonderful to share the day with our Kellogg family. We only regret that we didn't get a group photo with all the Kellogg attendees. All is well on the work front. I'm still at PepsiCo, where I've been since Kellogg and loving every minute of it!"

In the last issue, Julie Saliba wrote about Natalie Schaefer competing in the Ironman race in Madison, Wis., and winning her age group, which qualified her for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, on Oct. 10. Since then, Natalie and Mandy (McMillan) McCarthy completed the Half Ironman World Championships Nov. 8 in Clearwater, Fla. Both had great races and enjoyed competing with people from all over the world.
