Jim Curto founded, developed and operates The Birches Assisted Living in Clarendon Hills, Ill. The company will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year.

Tony Nocchiero was named chief financial officer of CF Industries Holdings Inc. in April 2007. CF, headquartered in Deerfield, Ill., is one of North America's largest manufacturers and distributors of nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers. CF was awarded a contract to develop and build a world scale ammonia/urea complex at a cost in excess of $1 billion on the coast of Peru.
