EMP-61

Here we are getting used to life without "every other weekend." I think I have heard from at least a third of you in the past two months. Therefore, I know a lot of "potential" news that will probably be manifested by the time this article is published, but the rules say no mentions until the fact. All I can say beyond that is several of our classmates have been very busy in their personal lives! The one confirmed fact is that Andrea Kallies is married to very good-looking Christopher Gray.

On a professional note, I have heard of three promotions so far. Do not be shy about tooting your own horns — we all want to know. John Surane is now president of Skil Power Tool North America for Bosch. Beth Hayden has been made senior vice president of human resources at Jones, Lang, LaSalle and is working one floor above Guy. Hardy Bhatt has been named director of the department of business and information services for the City of Chicago, which meansbasically that he is their new CIO.  Finally, Rebekah Barsch has been promoted to vice president investment product lines at Northwestern Mutual. Congratulations to all.

Hope to see you at the reunion on May 5. You can reconnect with your classmates, jog your memories or just jog (hint to the running club). Plus, there you can get more up to date information from everyone, including the latest wisdom from Karl "The Oracle" Kahn, and witness MB and AK get thrown out of another bar (you know who you are).

On a boring administrative note, if you are not getting e-mails from me, please send me an e-mail and I will adjust my e-mail list. Also, I have heard our class has been globetrotting, and I would love to publish travel pictures. Please send them to me and I'll put them in an upcoming article. As always, please call me, e-mail me or even snail-mail me (which is quaintly endearing by the way) so I can be sure to spread the news.
