Doug DiVenere has accepted a position with Miller Electric, a division of ITW as divisional director of marketing for the commercial products division. In this newly created role, Doug will be responsible for developing and executing a marketing strategy for the company's welding and plasma-cutting equipment business unit. The DiVenere gang will be relocating to the beautiful Appleton, Wis., area and will officially become permanent "cheese-heads" when their two kids, Max and Ellery, finish up the school year in June.

David Marks recently accepted the post of chief medical officer at VIACOR Inc., a small start up in Wilmington, Mass. The company is a development-stage organization focusing on catheter-based mitral valve repair. It's been really fun, and very exciting. David will be working with VIACOR in a modular capacity and still caring for sick patients (and trainees) at the Medical College of Wisconsin during whatever time remains in the day. They will continue to live in Milwaukee for now.

Kim Wobschall was promoted to run CrossCom National's express restore division.

Eric Lochner has accepted a position at Kenexa, a human capital management solutions provider, to help develop its acquisitions strategy and integrate newly acquired companies into the Kenexa umbrella.

Bill Cavanaugh has completed the transition out of my company in August and has been keeping busy with some strategic consulting work in the healthcare space (UnitedHealth Group). "Of course, I know nothing about healthcare, but I just walked in, said something about an MBA, tossed around a couple of books and rambled on how IT doesn't matter and they were sold."

Gary Hirschel and wife Melissa have moved into a new house in Wilmette. Gary's wine selection of the moment is a Tensley Syrah.

Linda Peters accepted a job with a biotech company in the Washington, D.C., area called MedImmune. She joined in February as the SVP of regulatory affairs. MedImmune has about 2,500 employees and approx. $1.2 billion in revenue. Linda and Dean sold our house in Libertyville, Ill. and bought a new house in Bethesda, Md.

Paul "Mitch" Mitchell has accepted a new position at Eastman Chemical Co. He has moved into the treasury division responsible for corporate capital structure and domestic corporate finance.

Bill Boltz has accepted a position as the merchandising vice president for the lawn and garden division at Home Depot. He was previously with Sears for 24 years. Bill and family are in the process of relocating to Atlanta.
