EMP-48

From Shawn Carsten: "One wife, two kids, one dog named Poochie of less-than-average intelligence. It looks like we will be in London through the summer of 2007. I have a new job in supply and distribution that includes pipes, ships and trucks, so you can only whine about your station being out of fuel. I don't want to hear anything about the price of gasoline."

Once this gig is over, the Carstens' plan is to return to the great state of Texas (they hope).

Bobbie, Bella and Herm Stonitsch moved back into the city limits of Indianapolis to 5340 N. Capitol Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46208: "I got tired of leading the homeowners' association board in suburban Carmel. I left the Colts and am now working at a local engineering company as their Controller. Best contact method is my home email, herm@stonitsch.net."

It was a busy year for the Guy family. Karen added a "little guy" to the mix: "Who wants to babysit so I can participate in the EMP-48 sponsored late-night dance-a-thon? Karen hopes all is well."

Ken Bastin sends this from Wisconsin: "My family is well, Christopher turned 9 recently, and is enjoying a not-so-stressful 3rd grade experience.

"Still serving as president of my medical group and have added three new cancer centers, revenues (and headaches) to our group. I am assuming an additional part-time administrative job with a health care system with duties of strategy and development of cancer services, which is sure to inflict lots of paper cuts. Still, I have chosen to stay very clinical, and I continue to run the Gamma Knife program for brain tumors at our tertiary hospital and will be directing Robotic Whole Body Radiosurgery (Cyberknife) which opens up in (gulp) six weeks. My motto remains, 'Radiation is good for you.'"

Kelly Cannon and wife Marcia and have moved into a wonderful home in Orinda, which is near the San Francisco Bay, a little east and north of Oakland, Calif.: "Marcia did all the leg work to find the house in an amazingly short time and we were able to close quickly, so we've transitioned much faster than I thought we would. Gus flew out to join us yesterday. Now to finish unpacking, and then the redecorating/remodeling begins.

"Kaiser Permanente is my new employer and I'm loving the company and the job. I manage application delivery, i.e. the writing and support of Kaiser's business systems, and I have teams in northern and southern California, so I travel a bit. It's an interesting company with a strong sense of social purpose, something I think is pretty unusual in a firm this big. I worked for a time in Oakland in an office with an unbelievable view of San Francisco and the bay, but recently transferred to Pleasanton (and a considerably less exciting parking-lot view)."

The Ricciuti family keeps smiling. Shooter joined Equant, a subsidiary of France Telecom, to run its professional services business in the Americas and wife Annette is still at the NBA. New dog "Sox" (named after the 2004 world-champion Red Sox) proudly wears a Kellogg collar. Shooter looks forward to a fun 2005 reunion and seeing you all!
