EMP-45

Kellogg EMP-45 will be having a couple mini-reunions in Las Vegas in the next couple months. We hope you can make one of the dates. If you are not receiving the e-vite invitations, please call Kevin Quincey TODAY to get reconnected!

David Evans has teamed up with our classmate Richard Spoon as a consultant with The Partnering Group (TPG), focused on B2B and B2C organization development, change management and marketing/sales improvement engagements. Always searching for new customer opportunities!

Eduardo Montero left ArvinMeritor as director of global marketing and managing director of Asia Pacific for the commercial vehicle $4.5 billion division and became the senior director of global branding and marketing operations for Kennametal Inc. Eduardo lives with son Antonio (4) and wife Anne Mary in Louisville, close to Anne Mary's parents. Eduardo proposes that the next reunion be in his native Costa Rica at a resort.

Kevin Quincey finished the Disney marathon for leukemia and lymphoma with Cindy and together they were able to raise $6,800, thanks to many of you. While they've crossed the finish line, leukemia and lymphoma still have a ways to go for a cure. If you want to give, go to active.com/donations/fundraise_public.cfm?key=KevQuincey.

I accepted a job as an enterprise strategy consultant with Microsoft in Reading (just outside of London) and started there Jan. 16. Please "ring me up" if you'll be headin' over — or call sometime just to say hi. I miss all of your American accents (my U.S. phone reaches me here — 414.899.1112)! To see what's new with me and a few sites around the U.K., check out my blog at web.mac.com/kevin.quincey/iWeb/KevinQuincey/Welcome.html.

Jerry Redmond has a few things going on with him and his family: 1. He changed roles two months ago — he is now president of Whirlpool Mexico, where he'll continue to work out of Monterrey, Mexico. 2. The company is attempting to acquire Maytag, a very interesting, challenging and busy proposition. 3. He and his family love Mexico; they are all learning Spanish with varying degrees of success.

Dan Rice returned from Iraq in November after one year there. He started work again with U.S. Trust on Feb. 1 in wealth management. If anyone has any contacts who manage wealth for a foundation or for a large family wealth management office, he'd appreciate any introductions to help get his civilian career back on track. And he hopes to be able to make the Vegas trip. He writes:

"Hi everyone, I'm back from Iraq after an 18-month military deployment. It was an incredible journey and I'm proud to have served with a great group of soldiers during a difficult time. Returning to the military after a 13-year hiatus was surreal to say the least, but very rewarding. I'm out of the military for the last time.

"Thanks for everyone's e-mails, letters and boxes. Your support was very much appreciated by myself and our soldiers.

"My blog is still up at iraqcommerce.blogspot.com if anyone wants to see photos from our deployment.

"I'm back to work at US Trust working in wealth management in New York City. I travel throughout the United States working with wealthy families and foundations. After being away for 18 months, I'm basically starting my civilian career over, so if anyone has any contacts who manage foundations or large family wealth offices I would appreciate any introductions. Most family offices and foundations work with multiple Wall Street firms so they usually like to have a relationship with US Trust. I can be reached at dan_rice@ustrust.com."

Sean Salmon moved to Santa Rosa, Calif. (in the wine country/Sonoma) last year. He joined Medtronic Vascular as the global vice president of marketing and was promoted to general manager this fall. He is working with Pat Mackin who runs the company's Western Europe division. His son Luca is now 3 and is lucky to look more like Lisa. He's an awesome kid and is loving the California sunshine.

Linda Kandel, Carita Twinem, Amy Lazarus, Laurie Speigelberg and Val Weaver made it to the spa weekend last September. The next one is planned for this year at The Abbey Resort, Lake Geneva, Wis., Sept. 15-17.

Aurelio Prifitera is the publisher of Harcourt Assessment and president of Harcourt Assessment International, the division of the company that develops standardized testing material for children. He has been working with Harcourt Assessment's clinical division since 1985 and was promoted to his current position in August 2003.
