Beth (Engelmann) Brykman writes: "I published a book titled, The Wall Between Women: The Conflict Between Stay-at-home and Employed Mothers (Prometheus Books, March 2006). [Until] now, documentation on this cultural struggle has been based on gut feelings and heresay rather than market research. Armed with my marketing education from Kellogg along with my 15 years in marketing Š I directly asked more than 100 mothers across the country if they believe a wall exists between at-home and employed mothers. Because 80 percent answered, 'Yes,' the book focuses not only on defining, analyzing and explaining the wall, but also on revealing positive approaches for tearing it down."
