1940s
William
E. Jones
is now in Onalaska, Wis., where he lives with his wife Donna.
They have five children and nine grandchildren. His last position
was that of program manager for solid rocket motor redesign
in the Thiokol Corporation. He now stays busy with Score and
lung cancer advocacy and travels to several places, including
England and Italy.
Edward
Wichmann of Mount Prospect, Ill. was a bond manager for
Aon Corp. He and his wife Marion have three children and seven
grandchildren. Their favorite travel destination over the
years has been Minnesota.
Jack
Jones writes from Los Angeles, Calif. He is now a widower
with four children and five grandchildren. In the early 1960s,
he helped form Mattel, Inc. Then, he owned one of the world's
premier women's professional tennis tournaments. He enjoys
tennis, reading and traveling to various places, including
England, Russia and Australia.

James
Phillip Sr. of Westmont, Ill., founded Phillip's Flower
Shops, Inc. which now has 12 locations and is managed with
his brother and their five sons. It has been chosen by the
Illinois Retail Association as the Illinois Retailer of 2005
out of 23,000 candidates. One of James's sons is James
Phillip Jr. '76.
James
Sr.'s wife is Mary Louise Baxter Phillip '50, and his
sister is Lee Phillip Bell, '50, who has produced and
managed two CBS soap operas.
Kenneth
Roman of Northbrook, Ill., retired from his position as
national accounts manager of Prentice Hall in Chicago. He
and his wife Mary have two children and four grandchildren.
Though they no longer make long trips, they still enjoy their
vacation home in Jo Davies County in northwestern Illinois.
Walter
Roth of Lake Forest, Ill., and his wife enjoy a family
of two children and six grandchildren. Some of them still
manage his company, Weco Trading Inc., in Lake Bluff, Ill.
Karl
W. Abt, class representative, who resides in Rolling Meadows,
Ill., is the author of a book published in February 2005.
Its title is A Few Who Made a Difference, published
by Vantage Press. Its subtitle, The World War II Teams
of the Military Intelligence Service, explains more, as
the book describes the author's service on three teams that
operated respectively in France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany
in 1945 and 1946.
Natalie
Saltiel of Chicago, Ill., has been married to Sidney
Levin since 1963. Both are CPAs, and Natalie has been
the recipient of the Illinois ACLU's Annetta Dieckmann Award
for volunteer service.
