Japan
The
Kellogg Alumni Club of Japan held its annual reunion Oct.
9, attracting 29 alumni from the Classes of 1973 to 2005,
despite the typhoon that hit the country's capital city on
that exact day. The event started with the annual activity
report, followed by a seminar on corporate governance given
by Takaaki Kawashima '79.
In
the meeting that preceded the reunion, the KACJ board approved
Yoshimitsu Kaji '97 as new vice president of the club. Yoshimitsu
will work with current vice president Tadahiro Yoshida '72.
The board also welcomed Ichiro Kawanabe '97, Akira Kokubu
'98, Tatsuo Suzuki '02, Noriyuki Ueno '03 and Daisuke Tsuruki
'04 as new members. The club, which is already very active,
plans to further strengthen the organization by increasing
the number of active members and by introducing new activities.
More
than 30 club members welcomed Kellogg School Professor Philip
Kotler at a casual party in downtown Tokyo on Oct. 16. Club
members enjoyed learning from and exchanging new ideas with
the professor, as well as with one another. The club kicked
off its 2005 activities with a TG on January 21. Upcoming
events include:
* Day At Kellogg in Japan — mid April
* Quarterly TG in Tokyo — late April
