West
Africa
The Kellogg
Alumni Club of West Africa has two main goals for 2003. One
of those goals is mobilizing alumni from the region and encouraging
prospective students to visit the Kellogg School. So far we
have had a good response rate and expect to reach about 80
percent of our alumni by the end of the year. Last quarter,
three students traveled from Africa (Cote D'Ivoire, Cameroon
and Senegal) to Evanston to learn more about Kellogg.
The club's
other goal is informing people from the business and the political
world about Kellogg. The Kellogg West African alumni club
is carrying out projects related to entrepreneurship and business
in order to reinforce the image of Kellogg as a premier business
school in the world.
Upcoming
events: Thanks to KABA (Kellogg Africa Business Association),
we are expecting Dean Jain's visit to Nigeria, and probably,
South Africa. We plan to hold a business plan competition,
as well as a meeting with prospective students during that
event.
Please,
don't forget to visit our club's Web site, or contact Laure
Djoukam (edjoukam2002@kellogg.northwestern.edu) for
more information.
