Korea
On
Feb. 24, Associate Dean Emeritus Ed Wilson met over dinner
in Seoul with members of the Korean alumni club. Thanks to
Korean alumni, the number of students enrolling at Kellogg
from Korea over the past several years has increased significantly.
As a result, the membership of the Korean alumni club is growing.
There
are few active clubs that serve Kellogg as generously as the
Korean club — strength of leadership explains this phenomenon.
Members are active in interviewing prospective students, fund-raising
and planning club events, such as dinners and golf outings,
for members. Dean Wilson was encouraged by Dean Dipak Jain
to visit the Korean alumni club to bring his greetings and
express his appreciation for the club's many contributions
to Kellogg. The school's strategy for being No. 1 in team
leadership, thought leadership and global leadership to maintain
Kellogg as the premier MBA program in the world, was central
to Dean Wilson's conversation with the alums in attendance
at the dinner. Professor Kotler visited the club earlier this
academic year.
