EMP-29

This issue of Kellogg World reports on the whereabouts of three of our fellow EMP classmates: Jeff Miller, Chuck Weinles and Phil Zazove.

From Jeff Miller: "Since graduating from Kellogg I married Rebecca Morrissey (introduced by Lori Yokoyama), and we now have two wonderful sons, Ryan (who turned 5 on Christmas Eve) and Aidan. That leaves me one short of a basketball team now with four boys. Professionally, after joining a family-held company, selling it to a private equity fund and a subsequent acquisition, I have decided to move into the entrepreneurial world myself. I am actively looking for a small manufacturing/distribution company to acquire." For more information about Jeff's interests or to obtain an outline of his business plan, please contact him directly at jmiller1994@kellogg.northwestern.edu.

Chuck Weinles has left Clark/Bardes Consulting and is now vice president, client services to the Chicago region of Right Management Consultants. Right is the world's leading career transition and organizational consulting firm, providing professional outplacement services during mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and employee terminations.

From Philip Zazove: "I'm still at the University of Michigan Medical school; been there 13 years, the longest I've been in one place since I graduated high school. I'm now a clinical professor, in charge of 11 of our offsite multi-specialty health centers, and the vice chair of our 1,200-physician faculty group practice. I still see patients two days a week, and recently was honored by being named one of the Best Family Doctors in America. My daughters are both in college now — one at the University of Michigan and one at Northwestern University. My wife, Barb, and I are enjoying the empty nest stage, although we still have three dogs (how we ended up with three is a story in and of itself). Although I've lost more hair, I still have some left on top! When The Phone Rings, My Bed Shakes came out in Japanese this year, and I've written two more books. Currently I'm in the process of working to get them published. If anyone has contacts with a good agent or a publisher, I'd love to hear from you. In fact, I'd love to hear from anyone regarding how they're doing. My email is pzaz@umich.edu, and my phone/address are the same as when we were all going to the James L. Allen Center.

Now I know some of you are wondering where the flyer is announcing the time and place of our next EMP-29 get-together. I'm wondering the same. Truth be told, I'm getting off to a slow start as I navigate my way around the support services available to Kellogg alums. (Don't give up on me just yet!)

Please continue to update your contact information in Kellogg's online directory, and to send me information about recent events in your lives!
