Now retired, Siegfried Shattil '36 wrote to share details of his career: "I retired in 1992. Previous to that date, I was vice president of Circle Galleries. We were art dealers specializing in limited edition prints by famous artists. We published these prints, which were printed in our atelier in New York City, on stone presses. We did not buy from anyone; we only offered for sale art which we produced. We operated 38 art galleries in the United States."
