Sasin
students sing a tribute song to Dean Jain and Dean Emeritus
Jacobs during a recent visit by the Kellogg school leaders
in Thailand. |
On Dec.
20, the Kellogg Alumni Club of Thailand, together with the
Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration and Sasin
Alumni Association, hosted a dinner in honor of Dean Dipak
C. Jain and Dean Emeritus Donald P. Jacobs. About 30 Kellogg
School alumni and about 200 Sasin professors, alumni and students
gathered for the event. Tongchat Hongradaromp (PhD 67
McCormick School of Engineering), CEO of Thai Petrochemical
Industry, honorary advisor to the Northwestern Alumni Club
of Thailand, congratulated Dean Jain on behalf of Thai alumni.
Dean Jain
made a touching speech, telling us his experiences working
with Dean Jacobs. Dr. Tongchat Hongradaromp tied the string
around Dean Jains wrist to wish him good luck and good
health. The ceremony is called Bai Sri.
Sasin
students sang a song titled Dean Jacobs and Jain are
in Town with this wording: Youd better watch
out, youd better not cry/Youd better not pout,
Im telling you why/Dean Jacobs is coming to town/He
has the name list, he always checks twice/Hes gonna
find out whos missing tonight/Dipak Jain is coming to
town/They have achieved great things/And brought success to
us.
