Brazil
While
Brazil recovers from Carnival and warms up for national elections,
the alumni club has recently elected the new representatives
of the club for the coming two years! Ricardo Soares 01
and Andre Abram 01 are the new co-chairs, replacing
Luiz Verdi 99 and Rodrigo Vieira 99. An official
ceremony (known in Brazil as the pineapple transfer)
for this leadership transition was held in March, along with
a reception for GIM students. More details in the next issue
of Kellogg World. Lets wish the very best lucky to our
new leaders and thank the old ones for their effort in developing
a solid Kellogg School alumni network in Brazil.
Please
update your contact list! A few of our members have recently
reported job changes. Marco Mombelli 99 left Bain &
Co. in November to become a partner of CV Participacoes, a
fast-growing company founded by Alexandre Correa 98.
Thomaz Yazima 98 has been appointed the new head of
Copernicus Marketing Consulting and Research in Brazil, a
company that counts Philip Kotler and Alice Tybout among its
advisory board. Rogerio Rizzi 99 is sales director of
Tropico, a Brazilian company that develops telecommunication
technology. Marcelodo 98 has assumed the Brazilian operation
of Novo Nordisk as the general manager. He is very excited
with this recent move from consulting to pharmaceuticals.
Take note
of our alumni personal agenda announcements: Eric Archer 97
is back to Sao Paulo after a year in the United States.
The Kellogg
community in Brazil offer our late but warmest welcome to
Dean Dipak Jain and thanks to Dean Ed Wilson for his incredible
dedication!
