EMP-38

As usual we have received some good news from our classmates. If you didn’t hear from us, please send your e-mail address!

Jim Pogue is the new chief operating officer for United Health Groups AARP Insurance Division. We should all be nice to Jim since our AARP memberships are right around the corner! He and his family relocated to Fort Washington, Pa. Jim’s responsible for all health insurance products sold through AARP, with 3.5 million members currently insured.

Kevin Schneider has been promoted at GE and has moved his family to Connecticut. He and his wife also add a baby boy to the mix.

Andy Martin was promoted to president and COO of Advance Publishers in Florida, moving from VP of marketing. He and Ian Heller attended an “MBA Update” course last summer taught by Tom Lys and Sunil Chopra. Then Study Group I got together for margaritas and “Jenny Craig Blue Plate Specials” at On the Border. Ian wants all of us to know that this means their MBA’s are fresher than our stale ones.

Besides Kevin Schneider and his wife, a few other EMPers have added some future Kellogg alums to the mix.

Erick Christensen and his wife Tina added Tyler to their brood. His older brother Jeffrey appears willing to let his younger brother survive his first year. The Christensens are currently building a house in Glenview.

Robin and Jeff Felton recently expanded their family. Hoyt Felton arrived earlier this year to join brothers Coleman and Graham.

Rumor has it Steve Calk tied the knot this year.

Scott Etzler reports that the company which he serves as president increased revenue by 30 percent to $160.6 million last year and we need all EMPer’s to use InterCall and help him crash through $200 million in 2002. No word about the reward for achieving this milestone.

Jeff Vender has been silent through all the inquiries!
