EMP-36

Greetings fellow EMP-36 friends, we are looking forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming five-year reunion in May. We hope you are planning on attending! Can you believe it’s been five years since we finished at Kellogg — where has the time gone?

Karen and I have been trying to update our records for each of our classmates so we can do a mailing. It’s been quite a project. Special thanks to Mark Bader for his help in gathering many of these updates!

Logan Otto has offered to host an informal cocktail party during our reunion weekend in May (3 or 4?). We will give you the details in the upcoming mailing.

Congratulations to Judy and Artaj Singh on the birth of their first child — a daughter — Elyana Amrita Signh. She was born Oct. 27, weighing in at 7 lbs., 7 oz. and 20 inches long. The Singh family is doing great!

Ed Dunn has received a Health Fellowship from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Congratulations Ed! In conjunction with the fellowship, he was working in the health policies in office of Senator Edward Kennedy. Ed is now spending half his time doing thoracic surgery at the Cambridge Health Alliance and the other half on health policies. Ed and Georganna bought a house and settled in Cambridge last October.

Mark Bader has left Georgia and returned to the Quad Cities. He, Julie and their family are happy to be back in Iowa and they are in the middle of building their third home. Mark has completed 22 years with John Deere. He continues doing some guest lecturing at the University of Iowa in venture capital and with Kellogg in the IT area. Is there a second career opportunity in teaching out there for Mark?

Steve Flynn continues to be involved with the exciting venture of Many Worlds, Inc. He is living in Texas with his family.

Stay in touch and let us know what you are doing. We hope to see you in May at the reunion!
