Dean Donald
Jacobs visited Tokyo over the winter holidays and joined an
alumni welcome party on Dec. 27. Seventy-eight alumni came
together to celebrate Don's tremendous 26-year contribution
to Kellogg.
During
the evening, Don offered a 40-minute speech with many humorous
anecdotes regarding various topics covering his history at
Kellogg. He also talked more seriously about the current status
and future vision of the school, fielding questions from many
alumni. The audience showed strong interest in his successor
and found it hard to believe anyone could fill Don's shoes.
Later,
participants had great fun with the dean over food and drinks
with more frank conversations. Alums had a small gift for
Don, 'high-tech' Casio's wrist camera, available only in Japan.
Sharing
Don's time and insight represented a great Christmas gift
for all the Japanese alums.
