TMP
2000
Greetings,
TMP 2000! Thanks to everyone who attended and helped make
the multi-class happy hour at Rock Bottom on Feb. 9 a success.
It was great connecting with many of you again!
If you
werenšt aware of the reunion, you probably are not signed
up for our alumni e-services; I will be sending notices about
such events (in addition to request for class updates) periodically,
but in order to receive them you must sign up! It is a great
way to stay in touch with Kellogg and maintain the connections
we worked so hard to build.
Here is
how you sign up: Go online to www.kellogg.nwu.edu/alumni/
services.htm Select "E-mail forwarding" to update
your e-mail address, then enter your alumni user name (usually
first initial + lastname + 2000) and alumni password. (Note:
If you donšt have a password, go to www4.kellogg.nwu. edu/alumpwd/requestpassword.
asp to get one.)
Follow
the remaining steps, then return to the initial e-services
page and select click on "Listservs." Click on "Add/Remove
yourself from Listservs." Enter your alumni user name
and password again (or see above to obtain a new one). Scroll
to the bottom of the drop-down menu, select TMP-2000 -- listserve
for TMP Class of 2000 (make sure you sign up for "TMP"
class of 2000, not just Class of 2000). Click "Add"
and you are done.
Finally,
save May 4, 2001, for our official one-year reunion! Hard
to believe it has been a whole year since wešve left Wieboldt
Hall. I thought it might be nice to get everyone together
at Rock Bottom again to celebrate. I will send out details
later via the listserv and e-mail forwarding (and in Kellogg
World), but save the date and invite those classmates
who havenšt set up their e-mail forwarding accounts.
Sal
Abbate is now a proud father as well as a marketing manager
for residential products with Armstrong World Industries,
Inc. Mike and his wife Kristine had their first child on Oct.
3. Olivia Grace was 6 pounds, 3 ounces. Sal and Kristine have
relocated to Lancaster, Penn., and can be reached at saabbate@armstrong.com.
David
Burden is forming a Kellogg alumni group for commercial
real estate professionals. The kick-off event occurred March
6. It was held in conjunction with other Big Ten real estate
alumni groups at the Westin River North. This event featured
a panel discussion on office development trends in the new
millennium. Anyone interested in future events of this kind
can contact David at 312.907.7400.
Eric
Dustman and his wife Beth are the proud parents of John
(Jack) Phillip. John was born Feb. 11 at 10:40 p.m. in Chicago,
weighed 5lbs., 13 ounces and was 19 inches long. Mom, baby
and family (older brother Paul) are doing great.
Upon graduation
in June, Jason Ewing and his wife, Jocelyn, took a
well-deserved two-month trip to Europe. The highlight of the
trip was "running with the bulls" in Pamplona, Spain.
Upon returning to the states unscathed, Jason began employment
at VCapital as director of business development. VCapital
is an online financial service firm helping emerging businesses
obtain financing from the Venture Capital community.
In August
Mike Kamradt started with A.T. Kearney as an associate.
Mike is currently working on a strategic sourcing project
on the east coast, while mourning Notre Damešs Fiesta Bowl
performance (I can relate, Mike!).
The always-outgoing
Jimmy Li started with Intel as a senior strategic finance
analyst in September 2000. Although the work schedule at Intel
is pretty intense, Jimmy is pleased with their people development
program, networking opportunities, training classes and 18-month
job rotation schedule. Jimmy and his family live about 20
miles southeast of Phoenix and can be reached at 480.715.0188.
Mike
Perlman is also busy juggling the demands of fatherhood
and his career. Mike and his lovely wife Felicia welcomed
Samuel David Perlman into the world on Oct. 19, 2000 at 1:40
a.m. (about six weeks early!). Samuel weighed in at 4 lbs.,
2 ounces and was 17 inches long, and has grown to over 12
pounds and 22 inches by Jan. 31! (Mike, what are you feeding
him?) In his spare time, Mike is working with Unext.
Lauren
Sinai and her husband, Daniel Aaronson, had a baby girl,
Madelyn Haley, on Dec. 1. Maddy, Mom and Dad are all doing
well, settling into their new (and sleep-deprived) roles and
learning the lingo of parentdom (much of which seems to center
around diapers, it seems).
Hope to
see you all on May 4!
