Sophie (Poulos) Bross was married to Jonathan Bross at on Sept. 23, at St. James Episcopal Cathedral in Chicago. The reception was held at the Casino club. Sophie and Jonathan honeymooned for three weeks in Australia and New Zealand, and currently reside in Chicago. On the business front, Sophie was promoted Dec. 1, to financial markets practice director for North America for Perot Systems. Her main responsibilities are to build more business for Perot Systems in the financial markets in North America, including developing Perot's strategy for pursuing clients, determining what type of clients they'll best serve (investment banks, asset management, retail brokerage, etc), and what services Perot will offer. Although she will continue to reside in Chicago, Sophie will be based in New York and commute. Marty and Liz Bush welcomed a new addition to their family -- Kelly Elizabeth, born on Dec. 10.

But that's not all. Marty was named vice president of business development Jan. 12. He was formerly publisher, small office/home office (SOHO) group, at CCH INCORPORATED (CCH), a Wolters Kluwer (WK) company. Marty, an attorney and CPA, has extensive experience in developing Internet based products and e-commerce applications for professional and business-to-business markets. In his new position, Marty will identify and develop opportunities for expanding and investing in WK's Internet initiatives for the North American tax and accounting market. He'll also be responsible for developing partnerships and alliances with other content and service providers.

Tim Krauskopf left Parlano and accepted a position as vice president and general manager of a 200-member unit inside Motorola's 1,000-member Internet Software and Content Group. Tim is responsible for finding Internet opportunities and using the power of Motorola to leverage them.

David Kahl has begun working with Value Vision Associates in marketing and delivery of their proprietary sales force training methodology, Value Selling. Latrell Peterson Dykes was promoted to planning engineer (project manager) for MCI's Local and Long Distance Facilities (communications hubs). Her responsibilities include project management in integration with various groups, including MCI engineering, construction, real estate and operations, to ensure that all project specs are met on schedule and within budget. Latrell now resides in Plano, Texas, with her family.

Cheryl Gidley authored an article discussing ways to ensure stakeholder value profitably in the February edition of Stakeholder Power, a Walker Information Systems publication.
