EMP-34

Oh, the places you will go! "You'll be on your way up!/You'll be seeing great sights!/You'll join the high fliers/who soar to high heights." So prescient, that Dr. Seuss! EMP-34 definitely has its share of high fliers (please grab me an extra bag of peanuts while you're up there).

Bob San Julian is now the president of Kar Products. They are a full service distributor of quality maintenance and repair products to fleet, industrial, automotive and other markets. Kar Products offers expert technical assistance in evaluating, selecting and stocking maintenance parts. He is spending a good deal of his time in Canada (which his company spells Kanada).

Bob Campbell is helping Bob 'drive' Kar Products as the vice president of technology and business development. (The EMP-34 "Bob" nameplates still come in handy).

Tim Wujcik joined Ray & Berndtson Inc., an executive search and management consulting firm, as a partner in its business and professional services practice. So, job seekers, contact Tim ASAP. Mike Curran turned in his VC hat for the role of president of Magnify Financial Services. It's hot, it's Internet and it's in Chicago! Magnify Financial's business "is dedicated to providing personalization solutions that predict consumer preferences and intentions to the insurance and financial services industries." Sounds like Mike might be calling Ehud Kalai soon.

And here's what it's like trying to track down Kevin Reilly: "Hi, is Kevin in? OK, when will he be back from Tel Aviv? Well, when he gets back from his Tel Aviv, Hong Kong, Myanmar, Brussels trip, could you ask him to give me a call?" Kevin is now the senior vice president and CIO of Richardson Electronics. Business is booming and Kevin has been busy integrating newly acquired companies into the fold.

Bob Siedel is now the regional sales manager for the Upper Midwest for Galaxy Aerospace. "Bob brings great sales experience and talent to our sales organization, as well as an outstanding background in aviation as a naval aviator," says the press release. If Bob brings the same passion he showed in Alice Tybout's marketing class to his new role, they will have to open a new factory!

And to wrap it up, Stephen Axel has joined VASCO, a global provider of enterprise-wide security solutions, as chief marketing officer. In this role, he has worldwide responsibility for building their brand equity and market share across all distribution channels. Feel free to drop him an encrypted e-mail note at saxel@vasco.com and share some of your secrets.
