Data and Code for Climate Shocks and Exports

The data used in this paper are provided here as Stata files (.dta), comma delimited text files (.csv), or altogether in a compressed folder. Please cite Jones, Benjamin F. and Benjamin A. Olken, "Climate Shocks and Exports", mimeo, 2009.

Data is in country-product-year format. Four data sets are provided, as indicated below, which vary by source of international trade data (US or "World") and by product category resolution (1 or 2 digit SITC codes).

The variables included are, in order:
