John Clifford, Vice Chairman, CBRE Capital Markets

John Clifford has been with CBRE Capital Markets since 1984. He is responsible for overseeing production of the Central Region and is a member of CBRE Capital Markets Executive Committee. A Vice Chairman and one of the company’s top performers, Mr. Clifford leads a 10-person team in the Chicago office that has originated in excess of $14 Billion in mortgage loans, joint venture financing and equity investments for office, industrial, retail, hospitality, condominium, technology and multifamily properties nationwide. Prior to joining CBRE Capital Markets, Mr. Clifford worked for Balcor/American Express and Continental Bank/Bank of America.

Mr. Clifford was the #1 producer within the Chicago Region of CB Richard Ellis in 2007 and 2010 and a consistent #1 producer within CBRE Capital Markets nationwide. In 13 out of the 15 years that he has been eligible, Mr. Clifford has been a member of the Colbert Coldwell Circle, which features the top 3% of producers within CB Richard Ellis worldwide. He is a frequent guest speaker at industry events, institutions and universities. Mr. Clifford is on the Board of Trustees for La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago.

Mr. Clifford received a BA from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois and an MBA from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois
