Core Curriculum
In core courses, students study the functional activities of organizations and learn basic skills and analytical tools for decision-making. In the Part-Time MBA Program, the 9.5 core courses are taken within the first 12 courses of study; the core courses are the foundation for study leading to the various Kellogg majors.

Values, Ethics & Strategic Crisis Management
All Kellogg students take the ½ credit class Values, Ethics & Strategic Crisis Management (SEEK 440-A). Students in the Part-Time MBA Program participate in this class after completing the nine core classes and before taking classes to complete chosen majors. There is no tuition charge for SEEK 440-A and completion of the course will be noted on the Northwestern University transcript.

The course is offered each Quarter and takes place over two consecutive Friday/Saturday weekends. The first weekend is scheduled for Friday evening 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The concluding session is the following weekend on Friday evening 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
