"Whether you're interested in a banking / finance career or you just want to build solid finance fundamentals, Kellogg's major in Finance has the depth and breadth that best fits your needs. This flexibility, coupled with outstanding faculty, made the Finance major the most popular of all majors offered in my two years at Kellogg. In the always difficult task of voting for the Kellogg Professor of the Year, my class, the Class of 2000, chose Finance Professor Mitchell A. Petersen."

Federico Papa
Vice President, ABN AMRO Bank
Montevideo, Uruguay

The finance curriculum at the Kellogg School is cumulative.  Advanced courses build on concepts which students master in the prerequisite courses.  Students wishing to major in finance begin by learning the basics in Finance I and Finance II.

For students with the appropriate preparation and motivation, the finance department offers accelerated alternatives. These alternatives allow students to begin the advanced finance electives earlier, thus providing a strong foundation in finance prior to their summer job.

Students who may want to request a waiver should bring a copy of their transcript and the syllabus(es) for prior coursework in finance to the waiver information session during CIM.
