Examines strategies for defining the roles and responsibilities of owners, board members, and the executive team in family businesses. In this course you will learn to unite and build trust among these groups, increase your board’s effectiveness, strengthen shareholder commitment, and empower your top management.

Provides a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities of board members and governance, equipping you with the tools, concepts, and strategies needed to become a more effective director. In this course you will gain insight into committee functions, compensation issues, accounting problems, and boardroom dynamics.

Corporate Governance Conference
 

The annual Corporate Governance Conference brings together senior executives, board members and institutional investors from around the world for a series of panel discussions on global governance. These discussions on current issues in business are designed to stimulate interaction among attendees. Sponsored by the Kellogg School of Management, Spencer Stuart and Booz & Company Inc. The goals of the conference are to inspire lively discussion, healthy debate and ultimately act as a measure of enlightenment between institutional investors and corporate leaders and directors. A transcript of the Corporate Governance proceedings are also published each year and distributed to attendees. Attendance is by invitation only. For more information, please email Donald P.
