| Employment Statistics | 2002
Overview
The class of 2002 faced what was one of the most challenging job markets in years. The vast majority of our students did not have experience in searching for employment during a recession nor had any of us gone from the exuberance of the late 90’s to the sharp drop this past year.
In spite of all of these challenges, our students rose to the occasion and did well in the employment market place again. We saw an increased emphasis on converting summer interns into full-time hires, a reduction in the number of full-time hires companies were seeking and a much more restrictive environment for our international students.
Due to the outreach efforts of Dean Jain, a wonderfully responsive alumni group, a hard working team in the Career Management Center and another outstanding class of students, 2002 graduates did well.
We want to thank you again for the support you have provided to all of us at the Kellogg School. This has been a very exciting year with another one ahead of us. We look forward to working with you through this next recruiting cycle.
Thanks to a supportive Office of the Dean, a fabulous Career Management Center team and a great student body, 2002 wound up being a terrific year for all of us at Kellogg.
Warmest regards,
Roxanne Hori
