Economists
give Northwestern "thumbs up"!
A recent
survey of economists and the literature they've produced over
the last several years brought good news to Evanston. The
carefully ranked review looked at the contributions of certain
"economics communities" (which were measured by
academic papers in economics contributed by the economics
department, by economics-oriented business school faculty
and by economists in university research centers). The happy
results are as follows:
Top one
Dozen Economics Communities
1. Harvard
2. U of Chicago
3. MIT
4. Northwestern
5. U of Penn
6. Yale
7. Princeton
8. Stanford
9. UC Berkeley
10. NYU
11. Columbia
12. UCSD - University of California (San Diego)
Congratulations
are due to all of NU's economists and its strong cadre of
those interested in healthcare economics!
