HIM Students
and Graduates Publish in Inquiry and the Journal of
Ambulatory Care Management
We were
quite pleased recently to pick up the latest copy of Inquiry,
the national Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association's respected
journal of "Health Care Organization, Provision, and
Financing," and find a familiar co-author. And no, it
was not one of our faculty members; it was Misha Segal.
Michael Segal, known to all as Misha, was one of the authors
of "A Moving Target: Financing Medicare for the Future,"
written with well known economist Marilyn Moon, Ph.D., and
Randall Weiss, Ph.D., Prior to his coming to Kellogg (he's
a second year student), Misha worked at the Urban Institute
in Washington, DC, as a Research Associate, where Moon is
a Senior Fellow. Weiss is a Partner with Deloitte and Touche.
Indeed Misha has published as a co-author five research papers
on Medicare. An economics graduate of Haverford College in
1997, Segal worked for the Urban Institute for three years
before attending Kellogg.
Word also has come down to us that Sanjeev Suri, M.D.,
MBA '00 will have his article entitled "Using Medical
and Information Technology for Improving Quality of Care"
published in the January, 2002 issue of the Journal of
Ambulatory Care Management. Upon graduation from Kellogg
Suri took a position with the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, in
their department of General Internal Medicine.
We invite alums or students who have published papers to send
the references to us with a short topic explanation.
