HIM Alumni Association Scholarship Award Winners

The recipients of this year’s HIM Alumni Association Scholarship Award are Karin Larson and Andrew Robbins. The Scholarship Award, amounting to $2500 for each recipient, was presented May 30, 2003 at the 27th Annual Malcolm MacEachern Memorial Lecture.

Karin M. Larson, MD, MBA spent two years in Kenya with the U.S. Peace Corps after receiving her undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Montana. Following brief stint as a sales representative for Rhone-Poulenc-Rorer in Colorado, Larson was accepted into the MD program at Northwestern’s Medical School and then the MBA program at its Kellogg School of Management. She graduated in December from both schools and is now finishing research at Medtronic before starting her residency.

Andrew R. Robbins, MBA received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. Prior to coming to Kellogg, he spent several years working for the ISO Health Care Group, specializing in strategic consulting for the biopharmaceutical industry. Robbins interned at e.Lilly/BioVentures in Indianapolis as a summer associate last year and will be a marketing manager in the New Products-GMA group with Pfizer in New York City after graduating from Kellogg.
