Evening Program
Chris: Part-Time MBA Evening Program Success
In this Kellogg School of Management video, recent student Chris tells his story starting out growing up on Chicago's south side to going to prestigious Kellogg and how the experience there was, in his words, fantastic.
The Evening Program is ideal for students who live in the Chicago area (including areas of Wisconsin and Indiana) and are available to attend classes on weeknights.

In the Evening Program:
  • You may start classes in any quarter (fall, winter, spring, or summer)
  • You can take up to three courses per quarter
  • You can complete the program in 2 to 5 years; the average time to complete is 3 years
  • These classes meet on weekday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; one class is one evening per week for three hours
  • Quarters are 10 weeks long with an additional week of finals
  • You can take courses offered on Saturdays
  • You will choose from the 19 majors
New accelerated option
  • Core courses: Fulfilled prior to enrollment
  • Time to finish: 1.25 – 4 years
  • Credits to graduate: 15.5
  • Matriculation: Every quarter

Program Structure
The Kellogg experience is grounded in the belief that, as an MBA graduate, you should possess a general management foundation that enables you to lead in all aspects of your life. You will build this through the core curriculum’s 9.5 courses. All Kellogg MBA students begin by developing a solid understanding of the fundamentals of management through our core curriculum. Philosophically aligned with the diversity of our course offerings, faculty, and student body, this strong foundation broadens your perspective and enables you to lead, manage, and communicate more effectively across a wide range of disciplines.

The Core Curriculum
Taken before you begin coursework in your major field(s), the 9.5 courses that comprise the core curriculum set the stage for you to gain maximum value from the courses and learning experiences that follow.

Once you have completed the core, you have many options for completing the full 20.5 courses required for graduation. You might choose majors that relate directly to your current job, or you might focus on subjects that will allow you to explore new career paths. As an Evening Program student, you will have the flexibility to build an MBA from the 19 majors.
