Overview
Women’s Preview Day is your opportunity to experience the Kellogg School’s vibrant academic community first-hand. Over the course of a full day on-campus you will participate in mock classes taught by two of Kellogg’s premier faculty, attend a Q&A session with the Career Management Center, engage with current students and learn more about the Kellogg admissions process. Coordinated by the admissions office, the day is co-hosted by the Kellogg Women’s Business Association (WBA).

We have reserved a small block of rooms at the following hotel for the preview day. Contact the hotel directly to book a hotel room and identify yourself as a participant in the Women’s Preview Day at the Kellogg School to receive the special rate. Traveling to Kellogg
Major airlines fly into both O’Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport. O’Hare Airport is approximately 45 minutes from Kellogg and Midway Airport is approximately 60 minutes from Kellogg.

Taxi service from both airports can be arranged in advance of your visit for a reduced fare. Pre-arranged rides start at approximately $35 from O’Hare and $50 from Midway. For up-to-date fare information, please contact a taxi service directly.

Shared Van Service

Public Transportation
The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) maintains an extensive system of elevated trains (also known as “the El”) and buses throughout Chicago and Evanston. The Evanston El stop closest to Kellogg is the Purple Line stop at Foster. While inexpensive, taking the CTA from the airport can take up to 90 minutes including transfers. Parking
Due to very limited parking, we encourage you to use alternate means of transportation. If you do plan to drive to campus you will be provided with a parking permit upon your arrival to the James L. Allen Center. Additional details reagrding parking will be provided closer to the event date. Please note that if you park in a lot without the required permit, you will be ticketed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I schedule an interview to take place during the Women’s Preview Day?
Kellogg’s interview program will be going on during the Women’s Preview Day; however these spots will be open to all applicants. To schedule an interview you must first complete Part 1 of the Kellogg Application. 48 hours after submitting Part 1 you may contact the admissions office at 847-491-3308 to schedule an interview. Please identify yourself as a Women’s Preview Day participant. The attire for interviews is business professional and you must bring a hard copy of your resume for the interviewer. Please note that if you opt to interview, you will miss some of the day’s programming.

Do I have to complete a long application including essays in order to attend Women’s Preview Day?
No, there is only an online registration form in order to enroll for this event. The collected information will be used for planning purposes; it will have no bearing on your application to any Kellogg program.
Should I attend this event if I do not plan to apply to Kellogg this year?
Yes. We know that it may take time to decide if business school is right for you. We also know that gathering information is critical when you are trying to decide to which school you will apply. This event will provide substantial information about the Kellogg School and the programs that we offer.
Does the Kellogg School cover the cost of transportation and lodging for participants?
No, we do not cover the cost of transportation and lodging for this event; however, we have reserved a block of rooms at a local hotel to ensure room availability and to help keep the cost down. Hotel information is included above. Please note that the Kellogg School will cover the cost of breakfast and lunch during Women’s Preview Day.
What is the attire for the day’s activities?
The attire for this event is business casual; however, if you have scheduled an interview please dress in business attire.
Can I bring a significant other to this event?
Unfortunately, space for this event is very limited, so we ask that only potential applicants to the Kellogg School register. There are many events throughout the year at Kellogg at which spouses and significant others are welcome such as information sessions, conferences, and just about any other time you visit the school.
How do I cancel my attendance at this event?
If you have registered for the Women’s Preview Day and can no longer attend this event, please send an email to mbaevents@kellogg.northwestern.eduso that we may offer your spot to another candidate. Also, if you have scheduled an interview and cancel your attendance at this event, you will also need to contact the admissions office at 847-491-3308 or via email at MBAAdmissions@kellogg.northwestern.edu to cancel your interview.
