Our Two-Year Full-Time MBA Program is for students who want to gain the confidence to lead boldly and challenge conventional thinking in the global marketplace. With a start date in September, you'll begin to build core management skills and then move on to specialized electives that reflect your areas of interest. Our Two-Year Full-Time MBA Program gives you the flexibility to explore a range of disciplines while developing management and leadership skills.

Eligibility

If you’ve earned a bachelor’s or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university or will receive said degree by the time the program would begin, you’re eligible to apply.

Our admissions committee evaluates your scholastic ability, personal character, motivation, leadership ability, interpersonal skills, career performance and management potential.

Core and electives

Kellogg's rigorous core MBA curriculum provides grounding in the fundamentals of growth and the foundation for advanced, specialized work in academic majors and professional fields. The core curriculum for the Two-Year Program consists of nine courses in fundamental areas, including accounting; management in organizations; marketing; finance; managerial economics; decision sciences; operations; and management and strategy.

Course waivers

If you have previous relevant coursework or work experience, we encourage you to consider waiving specific courses so you can take a greater number of electives.

Available courses to waive:

Regardless of waivers or course load, you’re required to register for six terms of full-time study and complete a minimum of 20.5 credits.

Majors and pathways

Kellogg’s approach to majors gives our students the flexibility and guidance they need to carve out a unique intellectual experience that is relevant to their specific educational and career goals.

You may opt to choose from eight majors or none at all.

Majors include Accounting, Economics, FinanceManagement AnalyticsManaging OrganizationsMarketing, Operations, and Strategy. A major requires that a student complete the core course for the major and a minimum of four electives.

If you choose not to elect a major, “General Management” will be noted on your transcript.

In addition to majors, Kellogg provides “pathways” to our students who are interested in building expertise in emerging areas and evolving industries.

A pathway is an integrated, cross-functional sequence of courses designed to address a particular skill set or industry for which there is an active student and recruiter demand. You have the flexibility to pursue any number of pathways and go as deep as you’d like into each one.

Work experience degree requirement

All Two-Year MBA students are required to complete a 6–12 week period of work during the Summer Quarter between the first and second years of the MBA program. This practical experience, directly related to the student’s field of study (MBA degree) and a graduation requirement, is aimed to deepen and broaden the student’s knowledge and skills.
