Custom purple rental gowns designed for Northwestern that feature the University crest are the regalia standard and must be worn by all participating candidates. Tassels feature the Northwestern seal signet and are worn on the left side at all times. Candidates may not alter or decorate their regalia in any way or wear additional articles not directly related to academic merit. Doing so may interfere with their ability to participate. Advanced degree candidates wear hoods. The lining of the Northwestern hood is purple and gold, and the color of the velvet border of the hood is acorn. Kellogg's tassels are also acorn colored. All degree candidates may retain their cap and keepsake tassel.

Rental arrangements for caps and gowns must be made online by May 4, 2012 by using the online ordering form. The rental fee is $61.00 (cap, gown and hood). To order online:

1. Choose Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management and then select pick up of your cap and gown at either Norris in Evanston or Wieboldt Hall in Chicago. If you are planning to participate in the ceremony, you will need to order a cap and gown.
2. Candidates receiving degrees from two schools select one degree and may arrange for a second tassel or hood at the time of cap and gown distribution.
3. Complete the Credit Card Information section. Verify all information and submit your order. Print the order confirmation screen and save it for your records. 

Evanston Pickup - You will need to pick up your cap and gown at Norris on Wednesday, June 13 between 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  

Chicago Pickup - You will need to pick up your cap and gown at Wieboldt Hall, Room M250A during the following times:

Monday, June 11 - 9 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, June 12 - 12 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, June 13 - 9 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, June 14 - 9 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
