    The Leverone/Andersen facility is expanded and named the Donald P. Jacobs Center in honor of Dean Jacob’s 25th anniversary as dean.

    2000: Honoring Dean Jacobs
    The Leverone/Andersen facility is expanded and named the Donald P. Jacobs Center in honor of Donald P. Jacob’s 25th anniversary as dean. Meanwhile, the downtown Managers’ Program campus undergoes a major renovation, making Wieboldt Hall the most modern of any part-time program in the United States.

    2001 Welcome, Alumni
    Nearly 50,000 alumni are now in the Kellogg School network.

    Recanati 2001: Global Expansion
    The Kellogg School’s international footprint expands in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America, as the school explores new ways to reach out to alumni worldwide.

    2001: Honoring Levy
    The school’s social hub in the Jacobs Center is named the Carole and Joseph Levy Atrium in honor of Class of 1947 alumnus Joseph Levy’s generous contributions of talent and time to building entrepreneurship programs and spirit at Kellogg.

    2001: Executive Women
    Kellogg launches the Center of Executive Women to research and develop programs to address the challenges facing female executives. Professors Vicki Medvec, Wally Scott, and Lloyd Shefsky and Kellogg Advisory Board member Sheli Rosenberg are instrumental in the center’s founding.

    2002: The World's Best
    The London-based Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) ranks the Kellogg MBA program as the best in the world for three consecutive years. The EIU, publisher of Which MBA? and a member of The Economist Group, surveys MBA students and alumni worldwide to develop the rankings. The ranking is based on four factors identified by students as the most important elements of an MBA: the business schools’ ability to provide students with new and advanced career opportunities, educational and personal development, increased salary, and the potential to network.

    2003: In Support of Entrepreneurship
    With their generous gift, Carol and Larry Levy ’67 establish the Levy Institute for Entrepreneurial Practice. Professor Steven Rogers, an expert in entrepreneurship issues, serves as the institute’s director.

    2004 Alumni Online
    The online Kellogg Alumni Network goes live, providing enhanced career management services, more lifelong learning events, and other benefits that build the school’s community.

    2004: At the Forefront
    The James L. Allen Center undergoes major renovations, including technology updates, keeping it at the forefront of executive education facilities.

    SEEK2005: Social Responsibility
    The Social Enterprise at Kellogg (SEEK) program is established.

    2005: A Woman in Leadership
    Finance scholar Kathleen Hagerty is the first woman to be named senior associate dean.

    2006: Destination Florida
    Kellogg expands its integrated portfolio of executive MBA programs by establishing a new one near Miami, Florida. The Kellogg-Miami Program is designed to offer the school’s management curriculum to executives throughout Latin America and the southeastern United States.

    2006: Refining the Curriculum
    A renewed emphasis on entrepreneurship and social enterprise define the Kellogg School’s curriculum.

    2007: For Undergrads
    Kellogg launches two certificate programs for Northwestern undergraduates. These programs are designed to provide exceptional younger students with rigorous analytical frameworks to enhance their preparation for business careers.

    2007: On the Weekend
    The Kellogg Part-Time MBA Program expands its portfolio to offer The Saturday MBA Program to meet the needs of professionals who travel during the week.
