Leonard Lavin at Kellogg
Bernice and Leonard Lavin built the Alberto-Culver hair products empire on instinct, hard work and smart marketing. They have used their profits to support higher education, including naming a chaired professorship at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. In 2010 Mr. Lavin, founder and chairman emeritus of Alberto Culver Co., joined Dean Sally Blount, Kent Grayson, the Bernice and Leonard Lavin Professor of Marketing, and some of Prof. Grayson's MBA students to learn more about Mr. Lavin's personal history of marketing.
