Northwestern undergraduate students who meet the following eligibility requirements may submit an online application for admission to the program:
- Maintain status as an undergraduate student in Northwestern University.*
- Complete specific quantitative prerequisite courses.
Admission to the program is competitive; approximately 50 students are accepted per certificate, per year. Acceptance is based on student’s grades at the time of application, personal essay and letters of recommendation from Northwestern faculty members.
We accept applications from sophomores and juniors, although we encourage students to apply during their sophomore year to allow for increased flexibility in class scheduling. In general, about 70 percent of students apply for the program at the end of their sophomore year; the remaining apply as juniors and participate in their senior year. *The program does not accept applications from high school seniors, students attending other universities, or other individuals who are not currently undergraduate students at Northwestern University.
