Sally Blount '92 was named dean of the Kellogg School in 2010, where she is also the Michael L. Nemmers Professor of Management and Organizations. Prior to joining Kellogg, she served as dean of the undergraduate college and vice dean of New York University’s Stern School of Business. Before that, she was a faculty member at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
David Austen-Smith was named senior associate dean of faculty & research in 2010. A distinguished scholar, he is the Peter G. Peterson Professor of Corporate Ethics, Professor of Political Science and (by courtesy) Professor of Economics. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and has been a member of the Northwestern University faculty since 1996.
|Michael Fishman began as senior associate dean of curriculum & teaching in 2011. A member of the Kellogg School faculty since 1985, he is the Norman Strunk Professor of Financial Institutions. He is also past chair of the Finance Department. |
|Thomas Hubbard was named senior associate dean for strategic initiatives in 2012. He is the Elinor and H. Wendell Hobbs Professor in Management and former chair of the Management & Strategy Department. A scholar of industrial organization and strategy, he has been on Kellogg’s faculty since 2005.|
Paul Christensen became associate dean for global programs in 2011. He is a clinical associate professor of finance at Kellogg where he teaches courses on international business and microfinance. Prior to Kellogg, he served as co-founder and president of ShoreCap International Ltd., a $28 million private equity fund which invests in financial service companies in emerging markets across Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe.
|Elizabeth “Betsy” Ziegler is associate dean of MBA programs and dean of students. Before joining the Kellogg School in 2011, she served as a principal in McKinsey & Company’s Chicago office where she led the firm’s Life Insurance Operations and Technology practice and co-led its Financial Institutions Operations and Technology practice.|
|Will Garrett '90 joined Kellogg as associate dean of executive education in 2012. Before Kellogg, he worked in McKinsey & Company’s Chicago office for 17 years as a partner advising the leadership of major global corporations in strategy, growth and change management.|
|Amit Prachand joined Kellogg as managing director for impact administration and planning in 2012. Before Kellogg, he facilitated change management initiatives at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for five years, and spent 15 years guiding organization-wide quality and process improvement efforts at RR Donnelley, Banta Corporation, Information Resources, Inc. and Saturn Corporation (General Motors).|
|Tim Simonds '98 is chief marketing and engagement officer. Most recently, he served as general manager in global service marketing and marketing operations for General Electric’s Healthcare IT Division. Prior to joining GE, he worked at United Airlines as managing director in marketing and merchandising, and began his career with a 13-year tenure at Procter & Gamble.|
Roxanne Hori is associate dean of corporate partnerships. She joined the Kellogg School in 1995 to oversee the Career Management Center. Before that, she served as a vice president for The Northern Trust Company.
|Alissa Comella is associate dean of advancement and leads the efforts for enhancing the Kellogg alumni experience and the school’s ongoing capital campaign. Most recently, she was the executive director of advancement at the College of Engineering at The Ohio State University.|
Amanda Samuels joined Kellogg as chief communications officer in 2013. She brings more than 18 years of experience in key marketing and communications roles within corporations and as a consultant for a range of industries.
Dennis Hareza is chief finance and administrative officer for Kellogg. He joined the school in 2009. Before that, he worked at PepsiCo for 23 years, most recently serving as the chief financial officer of PepsiCo Chicago.
Carole Cahill is executive director for the Office of the Dean. Since joining Kellogg, she has held a variety of roles focused on human resources and facilities management.
Raghu Katakam joined Kellogg as chief information officer in 2012. Prior to joining Kellogg, he served as a Director in Microsoft’s Enterprise Technology Strategy Program and spent more than a decade at Baxter Healthcare, where he held various IT leadership roles of progressively increasing responsibility.
